At Swim Gym of Lakewood Ranch, we know that family schedules can be busy and that unexpected things sometimes come up. We have worked hard to make scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling lessons as simple and convenient as possible for our families.
Because our lessons are short, highly individualized, and scheduled in advance, each lesson time is reserved exclusively for your child. Consistent attendance is essential for progress and safety in the water. For this reason, lesson tuition is not prorated or refunded for student absences.
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for any lesson cancellation or schedule change in order to receive a makeup credit. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice are not eligible for a makeup credit.
All cancellations must be submitted through the Parent Portal to be eligible for a makeup credit. Phone calls, emails, text messages or verbal notice may not be recorded in the system and therefore cannot guarantee a makeup credit.
When you cancel with the required 48 hours’ notice, a makeup credit will be issued to your account.
Please note:
• Makeup lessons must be scheduled in addition to your regularly scheduled lesson time
• Makeup lessons cannot replace or reschedule your standing lesson
• Makeup availability is limited and not guaranteed, as it depends on open spots in the schedule
• Makeup lessons can be scheduled 1 to 2 weeks in advance
• Makeup credits do not carry monetary value and cannot be refunded
Students enrolled in our daily ISR self rescue or refresher courses attend lessons Monday through Thursday for approximately 8 weeks.
Because daily repetition and consistency are critical to developing self-rescue skills:
• Tuition is not prorated for absences
• A maximum of 3 makeup lessons per session is permitted
• 48 hours notice is required to receive a makeup credit
• Makeup credits may be used after the completion of the ISR course for maintenance lessons, based on schedule availability
Students attending once or twice per week for maintenance or stroke development must also provide 48 hours’ notice to receive a makeup credit.
• Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are not eligible for makeup
• A maximum of 1 makeup credit per month is permitted
• Makeup lessons must be scheduled in addition to your regular weekly lesson
We understand that illness and unexpected events occur. However, because lesson times are reserved specifically for each swimmer, the 48-hour notice policy still applies.
This policy allows us to maintain a consistent schedule for all families and instructors.
